Feb. 21-Mar. 28 The Apostle Paul: His Mission, Life, and
Letters”
The Apostle Paul was one of the most influential and most controversial figures
in the history of Christianity. In their new book The First Paul, Marcus Borg
and Dom Crossan examine three Paul's: radical, conservative, and reactionary.
Each Sunday during Lent, Bob Taylor will guide us as we
• Travel with Paul through the ancient Roman world;
• Reflect on some of Paul’s most memorable writings; and
• Search for the “real” Paul – and his passion for life “in Christ.”
• Join us as we rediscover the Apostle Paul – his mission, life, and letters.
| February 21 | Introduction and Course Summary—Borg’s and Crossan’s reflection on Paul’s influence and controversy; an outline & timeline of Paul’s missionary journeys and examples of Paul’s most memorable writings. |
| February 28 | Paul’s Damascus Experience—Paul’s world and early life; his conversion and mission; his writings: “Jesus is Lord”. |
All programs will be held in the library at 9 a.m. All are welcome.

Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, if you love me, feed my lambs, tend my sheep.” (taken from John 21: 15-17) Feed My Sheep is All Saints’ outreach project for our local food pantries Bluffton Self Help and The Deep Well Project. For February they are asking for all kinds of canned or packaged “Beans and Tomatoes.” Grocery stores run specials every week…pick up one or two items each time you go and bring them to church on Sunday. Contributions can be placed in the wicker basket located in the narthex. It’s that easy!

Join us for a traditional meal of fluffy pancakes (and lots of ‘um), local ‘whole hog’ sausage and applesauce, all prepared by the clergy and staff. Beverages will be orange juice, milk, and chicory coffee (so as to add a touch of the Big Easy to our night). Our evening will conclude with a service of Compline in which we will embrace the tradition of saying farewell “Alleluia”, using it for the last time until Easter.
