All Saints Episcopal Church, Hilton Head Island, SC

The 18th annual All Saints Garden Tour Saturday was held on May 21, 2005, and featured seven beautiful Island gardens.
Pete Madsen, of Pete’s Herbs, from Johns Island was again the featured speaker at All Saints. Lunch was catered by 211 Park Restaurant.
Four local charities were designated as the beneficiaries of the Garden Tour proceeds this year:
On January 11, guests attended an open reception at the Hilton Head Library,
where they viewed entries from 53 artists in the
Garden Tour Poster
Contest. At the evening's end, a panel of three local artists judged the
entries, in several categories.
The overall winner was Morning Blossoms, a watercolor by Betty Brodie. The painting became the basis for the poster used to promote this year's garden tour. Sales of the other art benefited the Garden Tour and Friends of the Library.
Artist Ted Jordan’s gouache Mixed Floral with Hummingbird won the “People’s Choice” award. Honorable mentions went to Ed Floyd for Spring Glory in oil, Tom Ratliff for Pink Magnolias in watercolor and Barbara Snow for Inside Outside/Outside Inside in pastels.
Parishioner and guests attended the Premier Party on Sunday afternoon, May 15th, at the home of John and Elizabeth Loda, to honor the homeowners whose gardens were on the tour, together with the local artists who entered the floral competition for the poster design. Attendees enjoyed wine and hors d’oeuvres and entertainment by Hilton Head Youth Orchestra’s ‘Elite Strings’.
Once again, the Garden Tour was supported by generous area businesses who volunteered to sell tickets for the tour; we thank:
