Included in the ticket price was a delicious luncheon salad buffet, served in the parish hall at All Saints Church. Take-out box lunches were also available during those hours.
Noted herb grower, Pete Madsen, from John's Island, lectured in the church sanctuary at 11:00 AM and again at 2:00 PM.
Kick-off Garden PartyOn Sunday afternoon, May 9th, a kick-off Premier Garden Party was held at the home of Jan and Geoff Place in Hilton Head Plantation. This elegant afternoon gathering was a family affair and included children's activities. The Premier Party was a special event to honor the garden owners, without whose gardens the Garden Tour would not exist. A highlight of the day was an auction of the original painting of "The Garden Door" by Doris Shay, which was also on this year's commemorative Garden Tour poster. |

The Garden Boutique, located at the church, carried many unique and handcrafted items, and the
Heavenly Confections Booth, also located at the church, offered a large selection of home baked goodies.
Once again, the Garden Tour was supported by generous area businesses who volunteered to sell tickets for the tour; we thank:
