Sundays in Summer Adult Christian Education Please join the clergy as they continue to facilitate the multi-part DVD series The Dead Sea Scrolls. In 1947, the discovery of ancient documents in the caves of Qumran near the Dead Sea shook the world of biblical studies. They contain not only our oldest copies of biblical texts, but additional materials which provide an unprecedented view of Jewish life before and during the time of Jesus. This DVD course, taught by Professor Gary A. Rendsburg of Rutgers University, attempts to bring the Dead Sea Scrolls to light in a meaningful way for a 21st century audience. All programs will be held in the parish hall at 9 am and all are welcome!

Coffee Hour Hosts & Hostesses The dictionary describes "Fellowship as the sharing of persons having similar tastes, interests, etc." We need volunteers to help us continue this special Sunday morning tradition here at All Saints Church. Won't you please share your time and talents by agreeing to host a Sunday Coffee Hour. It's really simple. All you need do is bring about 3 dozen goodies…they can even be store bought…arrive for church a little early to make coffee and put out the goodies, and stay a few minutes after coffee hour to help clean up. That's all!! We need about three hosts per week. If every family in the church would agree to do coffee hour, we'd only need your help once every 2 years. But, everyone needs to "share" to keep this "fellowship" going. Look for the signup sheet in Gordon Mann Hall and sign up today. PLEASE HELP!

“…We commend to Almighty God our brother N., and we commit his body to its resting place….” One such place is All Saints’ Columbarium and Memorial Garden, a beautiful tranquil garden setting just outside the church. To keep it beautiful and respectful of the lives of those for whom it is their resting place, volunteers are needed. Spend just one hour each month, along with another person, keeping this sacred space neat and presentable. Basic gardening skills are appreciated but can be taught. Call Rayburn Barton at 846-0511 if you would like to honor those whose rest eternal is our responsibility.

Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, if you love me, feed my lambs, tend my sheep.” (taken from John 21: 15-17) Feed My Sheep is All Saints’ outreach project for our local food pantries Bluffton Self Help and The Deep Well Project. For July they are asking for “Cornbread & Muffin mixes, packaged snack crackers-cheese or peanut butter, and granola bars.” Grocery stores run specials every week…pick up one or two items each time you go and bring them to church on Sunday. Contributions can be placed in the wicker basket located in the narthex. It’s that easy!
