The All Saints Foundation

The minister of the Congregation is directed to instruct the people, from time to time, about the duty of Christian parents to make prudent provisions for the well-being of their families, and of all persons to make wills, while they are in health, arranging for the disposal of their temporal goods, not neglecting, if they are able, to leave bequests for religious and charitable uses. ALL SAINTS FOUNDATION
of the
ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL
CHURCH OF HILTON HEAD
is Your Foundation

For all who care about the long-range work and growth of All Saints Episcopal Church of Hilton Head, the All Saints Foundation is your foundation.

We are all so blessed to live on this beautiful island and to be a part of a loving, caring, and giving congregation. All Saints Episcopal Church prides itself with our outreach programs, our mission work, and our overall ministries, all of which seek to meet the needs of both the church's members and the Christian believers that we seek to serve.

Through the All Saints Foundation, we collectively have the opportunity to significantly impact and greatly expand our church in these efforts both now and in the future.

The goal of your Foundation is to help All Saints parishioners carry out their religious and philanthropic purposes as effectively as possible and to build a permanent endowment of private funding to serve and enrich our church and All Saints’ religious and missionary activities.

Through grants from the Foundation to All Saints Church, its church school, its missionary activities, and its other activities, the Foundation helps All Saints Episcopal Church meet its objectives of serving its members, its community, and its missionary activities. The Foundation also serves as a catalyst for innovative programs in our outreach programs, our mission work and our overall ministries.

THE MISSION
OF THE
ALL SAINTS FOUNDATION

The Mission of the All Saints Foundation is:

- to establish, maintain and grow an endowment fund, which is to be used to support All Saints Episcopal Church, its facilities, religious work, missions and outreach programs.

- to create a vehicle for all who care about the lone range work and growth of All Saints.

Simply put, the All Saints Foundation is your foundation,

With your support, the Foundation can help meet the changing needs of our church and further its outreach programs, missions, memorials, to the overall good of our church and our community.

Without your support, our church just cannot meet these needs.

Donors Are People Like You

You can make a contribution of any size at any time. Your gift can be designated for addition to an existing fund including the Foundation's unrestricted endowment. Gifts are also accepted as memorials or for Foundation operating support.

In addition, any individual, family, organization or business can create a new fund in the All Saints Foundation. You can open a fund or establish a fund in either a specific name or for a specific purpose.

Contributed funds to the Foundation are invested by outstanding financial management firms selected by the Foundation's Board. The Finance and Investment Committee of our Board reviews each manager's performance quarterly to ensure that the total return meets the Foundation's growth objectives. The Foundation retains professional assistance for financial management to insure that we are properly administering the funds entrusted to us.

BESIDES THE SATISFACTION OF GIVING, YOU GET…

PERMANENCE: Your contribution to the Foundation is a living legacy that continues to carry out your religious and charitable objectives in perpetuity through the All Saints Episcopal Church.

TAX ADVANTAGES: The internal Revenue Code generally favors religious charitable contributions. The All Saints Foundation is legally a part of the All Saints Episcopal Church, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. A gift to the Foundation is a gift to the All Saints Episcopal Church. All contributions are generally accorded donors the maximum tax deductibility, as well as other advantages.

RECOGNITION: You choose the name of your fund. It can carry your name, the name of a person you wish to memorialize, the name of a designated recipient organization or a generic name. Your fund will always be identified to grant recipients, unless you request anonymity.

CHARITABLE EXPERTISE: Our board members know the needs of the church and its programs. We will work with you to target grants in order to achieve the most good,

INVESTMENT EXPERTISE: You can feel secure that the assets of the fund you establish are professionally invested, yielding a good return for the church and its ministries.

GIVING OPTIONS: You can realize nearly any charitable intent by choosing from among the various types of funds. Many different kinds of assets are acceptable as a contribution and a minimum of paperwork is required to create a fund.   Our professional staff is ready to assist you.

 Ways You Can Give

Starting a fund is quick and easy because preparation of the documents generally takes less than an hour. You have a choice of giving now or deferring your gift.

GIVING NOW:

Outright Gilts are a simple, convenient way and offer you the pleasure of seeing your charitable dollars in action during your lifetime. Cash and appreciated securities are the usual gifts.

DEFERRED GIVING:

Bequests of cash or property are made easily through your will and are free of estate taxes. You also can name the Foundation as a residual beneficiary of your Will.

Charitable Remainder Trusts enable you to provide a lifetime income to yourself or a family member, with the remainder then passing to the Foundation. A Charitable Remainder Trust is a separate trust account.

Charitable Gift Annuities enable you to provide a lifetime income to yourself or a family member, with the remainder then passing to the Foundation. A gift annuity is a payment from the Foundation to you for your lifetime.

Charitable Lead Trusts name the Foundation as beneficiary of income for a specific number of years, after which the trust principal returns to other named beneficiaries, such as children or grandchildren.

Remainder Gift of Residence enables you to live in your residence during your lifetime with a remainder gift to the Foundation.

Lift Insurance can offer an immediate tax deduction in the amount of the cash value of the policy when the Foundation is named as the irrevocable beneficiary. In addition, any premiums that you pay thereafter are deductible as charitable gifts.

IRA Beneficiary Designations can significantly reduce the tax consequences of that asset and allow the entire remaining balance of the IRA to get to the Foundation.

Choose The Fund That Suits You

Because charitable interests are as varied as reasons for giving, we offer several options. Most funds are managed as perpetual endowments, meaning that only the net income is disbursed.

These are the types of funds that the Foundation currently administers:

Unrestricted Discretionary Funds give the Foundation the flexibility to evaluate and respond to our church's ever-changing needs, entrusting decisions to the discretion of the Board of Trustees.

Designated Funds endow one or more specific activities or ministries of the All Saints Episcopal Church. The Foundation disburses the income to the church and monitors its use to see that your wishes are carried out, now and forever. Should your objective cease to exist, the Foundation can choose a comparable activity within the church to be the recipient of your legacy.

We would be happy to discuss these and other ways to give with you, your family and your tax or professional advisors.

Who Has Benefitted In The Past?

Your gifts to the Foundation support areas not covered by the parish's annual operating budget as well as specific wishes or memorials you may designate.

There are also many restricted and unrestricted funds and memorials which the Foundation may manage for its donors, including:

· Unrestricted Capital Fund

· the Columbarium Fund

· All Saints Children's School

· Clergy Sabbatical Fund

· Missions Fund

· Dominican Scholarship Fund

· Memorials

· Library Fund

Your contribution to the Foundation can create one of these funds.

What Does The Future Hold?

You can greatly expand all of the above ministries of All Saints. And, you can include any specific requests for an activity or mission which is important to you, your family, or loved ones.
